Everglades City is on the Northwest border of Florida's Everglades National Park. The city is also next to Big Cypress National Preserve, Fakahatchee Strand State Preserve and Collier Seminole State Park.
The Ivey House and Everglades Rentals and Eco Adventures can be found by taking U.S. 41 to State Road 29, turn south and travel 3 miles. The address is 107 Camellia Street, just one block behind the Circle K gas station and the Post Office. Look for a long green shotgun style building with lots of flowers and palm trees.
...At the intersection of Hwy 41 and SR 29, you'll see a blinking light. There is a visitors center and a gas station on the corners. Take SR 29 south and proceed 3 miles which will take you into Everglades City. On the right side of the street, you will see the Ivey House sign and our parking lot. Go to the new building with a tin roof. The entrance to our new Inn is directly across the street from our parking lot. If you pass the Circle K you need to take a right and go back to the tin roofed building.Once inside go to the adventure desk and someone can help you.
From Naples Airport When leaving airport, take a right and follow Airport-Pulling Road until the end where it meets 41. Take a left onto 41 and follow to Everglades City, Rt. 29. Turn right on Rt. 29 into Everglades City, the Ivey House is located on the right hand side before the Circle K convenience store.
Marco (Approximately 30 or 45 minutes, 30 to 45 miles east): Take 92 or 951 out of Marco and then turn right, east on Hwy 41, you continue east until you come to the intersection of Hwy 41 and SR 29...Turn right on SR 29 to Everglades City, the Ivey House is located on the right hand side before the Circle K convenience store.
From Ft. Myers Airport (Approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, 70 miles southeast): Out of the Airport follow signs for 75 south. Take 75 south, exit on 14a which is SR 29 and head south to Everglades City. Drive approximately 21 miles and you will come to the intersection of Hwy 41 and SR 29...Continue on through the intersection on SR 29 into Everglades City...the Ivey House is located on the right hand side before the Circle K convenience store.
Sanibel (Approximately 2 hours): Take 75 south, exit on 14a which is SR 29 and head south. Drive approximately 21 miles and you will come to the intersection of Hwy 41 and SR 29...
Tampa (Approximately 3.5 hours): Take 75 south, exit on 14a which is SR 29 and head south. Drive approximately 21 miles and you will come to the intersection of Hwy 41 and SR 29...
From Miami Airport (Approximately 1.5 hours, 80 miles west): Take Rt 836, Florida Turnpike South, then the first exit off 836 which is Rt 41/Tamiami Trail North. Follow 41 for about an hour and a half, approximately 80 miles and you will come to the intersection of Hwy 41 and SR 29... Turn Left on SR 29 and continue into Everglades City...the Ivey House is located on the right hand side before the Circle K convenience store.
From Ft. Lauderdale Airport (Approximately 1.75 hours, 100 miles southwest): Out of the airport take 595 West heading for 75. Then at the split, take 75 west towards Naples, you will exit on 14a which is SR 29 and head south. Drive approximately 21 miles and you will come to the intersection of Hwy 41 and SR 29...Continue on through the intersection on SR 29 into Everglades City...the Ivey House is located on the right hand side before the Circle K convenience store.
